Vij was the Executive Director at the Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and has also served in Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL). He has vast experience dealing with innumerable aspects of the power sector in India.

As CEO of Green Energy Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of the PFC, an organization he served for 30 years, Vij was solely responsible for all aspects of running the company, including the funding of renewable energy projects. 

Vij has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with honors from a premier institution in Delhi and has also completed an Advanced Level course equivalent to M.Tech. in Computer Science.
