Hartek Group launches Scholarship Programme at Punjab Engineering College

Going all out with its social welfare initiatives and to give impetus to its larger purpose of giving back to society and creating a better tomorrow through its CSR initiatives, the Hartek Group, one of the fastest-growing concerns in the Indian power sector, today formally launched a flagship scholarship program for engineering students at the nationally acclaimed institute Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.

The scholarship will be given to support students to continue their engineering education at PEC, who are either economically less privileged or are going through special circumstances where there is a sudden and unexpected change of financial situation of the student’s family due to the death of the earning parent, loss of job/income, serious medical problems faced by parents, etc.

One of the criteria for qualifying for the scholarship would be the annual family income from all sources is less than Rs. 5,00,000 or dealing with any special circumstances as stated above. Each scholarship will be of Rs. 50,000 and will be used to support one student every year for the next four years.

Commenting on the initiative, Ms Keerti H.
